Longview resident wins $2 million Mega Millions prize

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – For the second time this year, a Longview resident just walked into several million dollars.

Longview resident claims $3 million prize in Texas Lottery scratch ticket

A Longview resident who chose to remain anonymous won the $2 million Mega Millions prize on Jan. 2. The winning ticket was bought at Murphy Express 8894 at 301 E. Loop 281 in Longview.

Mega Millions is played by choosing five numbers from a field of 70, plus a Mega Ball number from a field of 25 numbers. According to the Texas Lottery, the winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers, which were 3-18-27-29-64, but not the Mega Ball number, which was 2.

Another resident in Longview won $3 million in a scratch-off ticket game last week, purchased at the Fuel Depo Corner Mart at 2300 Gilmer Rd.
