A new-look Aldi store is set to welcome back customers tomorrow - and there's even more bargains to be had in the middle aisle. The discount food retailer is transforming the Biddulph store as part of a £600 million investment.

The 1,332 sqm branch will boast wider aisles and clearer signs, as well as increased chiller space. The fresh bakery section and health and beauty sections have also been redesigned.

All fruit and veg will be moved to the first aisle of the store, for 'added convenience'. The Tunstall Road supermarket - which employs 31 staff members - will reopen from 8am today tomorrow (October 29).

Shoppers can also browse in the 'Aisle of Aldi' where they will find Specialbuys which are available every Thursday and Sunday. During re-opening week, the store will be offering a range of Bluey toys, including a Bluey cash register for £19.99, Bluey keyboard for £12.99 and Bluey figure sets for £9.99.

Store manager Rob Wade said: “The store is looking fantastic, and we can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back so they can see it for themselves. We’re committed to making sure that the shopping experience each customer enjoys in our stores is on a par with the products and service they’re used to.”

The store, which has 130 car parking spaces, is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 10pm and on Sundays from 10am to 4pm.
