'Looks Like Siberia': Cold Winds Sweep Snow Across Rochester Airport

The National Weather Service said northwestern New York would be “windy and bitterly cold” on Friday, February 3, as a “short-lived but impressive arctic blast” impacted the northeastern United States.

Footage captured by Joseph Frascati shows strong winds sweeping snow across the Rochester Airport in Rochester, New York. “Looks like Siberia out there,” Frascati wrote in a caption accompanying the footage.

The NWS issued multiple weather advisories in the region and said it was a “potentially dangerous situation to be outdoors.”
