Following on from Loose Women's much-acclaimed Body Stories campaign earlier this year, today (September 24) has seen the first pictures of the second part of the campaign released – and this time around, it's the Loose Men who are telling their Body Stories.

Working with internationally-acclaimed photographer Rankin, seven famous male faces are following in the ladies' footsteps and stripping down to break the silence surrounding the body pressures that men face and inspire men to talk about how the feel about their bodies.

Featured in the new pictures are Robbie Savage, David Ginola, Bruno Tonioli, This Morning's medical expert Dr Ranj, Judge Robert Rinder, Coronation Street's Shayne Ward and boxing icon Frank Bruno, each of whom have opened up about their own body story.

"I think as somebody who's probably had issues with his body growing up, I was keen to get involved in the campaign," Robbie said.

"I just think that when I look at myself growing up I was silly then because I should have been happy where I was and that's why now at 42, now I just want people out there to embrace themselves and think no matter what shape and size you've got to be happy. I've got to a point now where I am happy and content."

David Ginola added: "The shoot says to men – you don't need to be ashamed of talking about your body. I think we should all be proud of ourselves."

Part two of the campaign follows the findings of a new Loose Women survey that revealed 73% of men don't talk to anyone about how they feel about their body, with 50% of men worrying about their weight and 47% of men saying they won't let their partner touch their stomach.

"We were overwhelmed by the response to the original Loose Women Body Stories campaign; many of the viewers who got in touch were men talking about their own experiences of struggling to accept their bodies," Loose Women editor Sally Shelford said.

"Together with celebrities like Gok Wan and Freddie Flintoff who have since appeared on the show to bravely talk about their experiences of living with eating disorders and battling self-esteem issues, we knew the next chapter of our campaign needed to reflect the rise in body confidence issues amongst men.

"We're so proud of all the stars who have taken part in this shoot and embraced the message that runs to the core of our campaign: Every Body Tells A Story. We hope it will continue to encourage and inspire everyone to embrace the bodies we have been given."

Loose Women will be continuing to invite viewers to share their body stories via the #MyBodyMyStory hashtag on social media. The campaign has been welcomed by Samaritans, and readers who are affected by the issues raised in this story are encouraged to contact Samaritans free on 116 123 (www.samaritans.org).

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV, with the Loose Women: Body Stories continuing tomorrow (September 25).
