ITV Loose Women interrupted by 'alarm' as Christine Lampard tells fans not to panic

Christine Lampard told her Loose Women colleagues, studio audience and viewers at home 'not to panic' as a loud alarm sounded out around half an hour into Wednesday's show.

Former One Show presenter Christine was back at the helm of the panel as the ITV daytime programme welcomed back Sarah, Duchess of York for another stint on the show, along with Coronation Street legend Sally Dynevor and long serving Loose Women star Brenda Edwards.

The first part of the hour long live broadcast saw the panel talk about everything from the Sunak v Starmer Election debate on ITV on Tuesday night to reality TV veteran Joey Essex's shock arrival on Love Island, before there was a serious throwback for soap actress Sally when Christine surprised her by airing a clip of her first ever scene in Corrie, back in 1986.

Things went awry when Loose Women returned from its second ad break of the day, with a very loud and off putting alarm started to blare out as cameras returned to the set. After clocking the startled and rather panicked looks of everyone around her, Christine stepped in to say: "Don't stress! That warning alarm means you've only got until Friday to enter the competition. That's what it is," as Sarah reacted: "I'm stressed. Oh my god!"

Last week, Christine made a plea to viewers at home to vote for Loose Women at this year's National Television Awards. The show has been consistently beaten at the annual event by ITV rival This Morning, although that too walked away empty handed last year, as BBC's The Repair Shop took home the Daytime prize.
