On the latest episode of Loose Women, Nadia Sawalha made a rather surprising revelation about her childhood. The team was diving into a discussion over an ice cream man who faces threats of prosecution for excessive use of his distinct chime, during which Nadia shared something from her childhood.

"I just say to ice cream vans when they're in my area, 'Can you turn it up? ' Because I go out and I can't find them. And you know when you run and you think it's to the right? Whack it right up for me," she quipped.

Nadia explained her love for ice cream vans saying: "I had a whole childhood where my mum told me that every tenth ice cream from the ice cream van is poisoned. So we went through our whole childhood with no ice cream from the ice cream van."

Christine Lampard, Frankie Bridges, and Katie Piper couldn't help but look astonished at her childhood story. Keen to keep the show light-hearted, Katie responded by saying: "My mum would be like, 'There are choc ices in the freezer,' but this is worse! ".

Adding to the list of unusual revelations, Christine shared that as a child, she used to call the red syrup poured over the cones "monkey blood". She later asked her confused friends on the show: "Is that a Northern thing?" reports the Express.

While the panel discussed their favourite ice cream memories, viewers too joined in the conversation via X (formerly known as Twitter).

Twitter user @jesterfron96821 expressed their frustration about the rising cost of ice cream, tweeting: "Ice Creams are so rip off these days 99s are £3.50 ... The guy asked me what size do I want last time, sml med lrg absolute joke.. Gone are the days of a parent buying a round of cones for the kids playing out and don't get me started on a chippy tea #loosewomen."

@FlopsyPickle reminisced about a unique ice cream experience in Watford, posting: "There used to be an ice cream van in a park in Watford that was ice cream and lemon sorbet out of the normal ice cream machine and it was amazing, but I've never seen anyone else do it #LooseWomen."

Meanwhile, @khomsi_miriam shared her fondness for a classic ice cream treat, saying: "I loved getting a 99er with sprinkles and monkeys blood (the red sweet stuff on top) #LooseWomen."

However, @coxyhockeychick disagreed with the popular topping choice, stating: "Monkey blood? nope! #loosewomen."

In other segments of the show, the panel discussed Celine Dion's upcoming documentary and debated whether it's acceptable to win at any cost, following the Fortune Hotel finale.
