Loose Women's Ruth Langsford halts ITV show as two stars 'quit' after secret talks

Ruth Langsford had some big news for Loose Women fans on Tuesday, when she announced that two of her co-stars had 'quit' to go on another show, after their decisions were kept under wraps.

Having been absent from the ITV lunchtime programme earlier this year after her split from husband Eamonn Holmes, Ruth returned to her familiar role as lead host of Loose Women in the summer, with her return coming as some new panellists were introduced to viewers, including social media star GK Barry.

GK, real name Grace Keeling, is best known as the host of her own hit podcast Saving Grace, taking it on a sell out tour earlier this year and also starring in Channel 4's Don't Look Down, a series all about having to conquer a feasr of heights, which could well come in handy for the new challenge she's about to take on - a stint in the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

After a lot of speculation linking the 25-year-old to the new series, her name appeared on the confirmed I'm a Celebrity 2024 line-up and she's not the only Loose Women star who has jetted Down Under, as she will be joined in camp by Jane Moore, the journalist who has been on Loose Women for decades.

It took just seconds of camera rolling on Tuesday's episode of Loose Women for presenter Ruth to break news that GK and Jane had been confirmed for I'm A Celebrity, with co-star Nadia Sawalha claiming that Jane had 'lied' to her for weeks about where she was going, even trying to throw her off the scent with a fake boarding pass. Tipping Jane to do better than bookies are predicting, Nadia said she was confident that jungle life 'wouldn't phase' Jane as she's both strong and 'fearless.'

In response, Ruth said she hoped people would ger to see the 'kind' side of Jane, who hasn't actually met her now I'm A Celebrity campmate GK, having never been on the Loose Women panel at the same time.
