Lorraine Kelly has shared the result of her latest craft project – and it looks like her four-legged customer is a big fan.
During the recent cold snap, the TV star shared a picture of her daughter Rosie's dog Ruby, who was snuggled into a cosy blanket that she knitted especially for the Daschund.
The soft purple blanket is perfect for wrapping up in during the winter months, when pets often need extra warmth.
It's not the first time Lorraine has turned to knitting for dogs, though. Back in December 2021, the presenter was inspired to create a doggy scarf for Ruby after she was taught how to knit by Olympic gold medalist and knitting pro, Tom Daley.
A few months later, Lorraine tried her hand at a cosy blanket for her producer's adopted dog Oscar.
Perhaps Lorraine has got a future career in knitting for pets? It's actually a great way to put your craft skills to good use, as animal charities are often on the lookout for cosy blankets and toys.
However, it's important to keep in mind that any homemade items need to be pet-safe. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home says: "If you would like to knit or crochet blankets or toys for our animals, please keep in mind that large gaps in material can be dangerous as little paws and claws can get stuck. Please look into pet-safe patterns first to ensure your thoughtful donation is fit for purpose."
