Lorraine Kelly has revealed that she might be planning to get a tattoo in memory of Dame Deborah James.

The 62-year-old television presenter, who recently attended the campaigner’s funeral, explained during Thursday’s show that a number of people had planned to get ‘Rebellious Hope’ tattooed on themselves in James’ memory.

The touching tribute comes just under a month after the campaigner sadly died at the age of 40 following a six-year battle with bowel cancer.

Chatting to Dr Hilary Jones on the ITV show, Kelly explained that the group is currently trying to decide the location of the tattoo, before encouraging Jones to also consider getting one.

“A whole bunch of us said we’re going to get tattoos with ‘Rebellious Hope’ on them,” Kelly explained. However, she didn’t reveal who else had agreed to having a new tattoo.

“I think I agreed to that! We’re just deciding where we’re going to get them,” she laughed.

She added: ‘We might have to film that, I think that’s going to happen.’

“The only person that I would do it for would be Deborah,” Jones explained, adding: “so I’ll have a think about that.”

Rebellious hope was a term coined by James, as she encouraged people to remain resilient throughout whatever was thrown their way.

Kelly’s latest remarks came just one day after the presenter attended James’ funeral, a private ceremony that was held in Barnes.

Speaking about the emotional day, Lorraine explained that James had planned everything to do with her funeral and that the day turned out to be “perfect.”

Although Lorraine explained there were plenty of tears, the television star also explained that there was lots of laughter as friends and family said their goodbyes to Bowelbabe.

In 2016, James was diagnosed with bowel cancer and throughout the last few years has campaigned in a hope of raising awareness as well as vital funds for cancer research.

However earlier this year, the mum of two revealed that she had stopped receiving cancer treatment as there was nothing more the doctors could do for her.

Her family announced on June 28 that the podcast host and charity campaigner had peacefully passed away.
