Yahoo News Lorraine Kelly shares "happiest" update on new project
Lorraine Kelly has shared an update on her upcoming book project, revealing that she has reached the "happiest" time of the creative journey.
The television presenter, who has hosted her morning talk show since 2010, is currently writing her follow-up novel to The Island Swimmer, and revealed via social media that she has now completed the first draft.
"The two best and happiest words for a writer to type," she wrote on Instagram on Friday (January 3), with the post including a photo of a document with the words: 'THE END' typed out. "Book two completed !!"

"Thanks to everyone who bought BOOK ONE - The Island Swimmer and made it a best seller. The paperback version of that will be released soon."
The post received a warm response from Kelly's fans, with one of her followers also referencing the creative process as they commented: "Oh well done. Love that feeling. I'm about to type the first line of my next one x".
"Loved your first book. Excited for book 2. When will it be released? X" asked a second fan, with a third commenting: "I've just finished The Island Swimmer. It was brilliant, I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for book 2 x".

Further comments included: "You are superwoman! How do you find the time to do everything you do? Amazing!" and "Yes!!!!!! I have a kindle so hoping the release date is the same or as near to Lorraine! This calls for a reread now of The Island Swimmer".
Kelly recently spoke to Strictly Come Dancing professional Amy Dowden on the presenter's What If? podcast, with Dowden opening up about her hopes to one day have a family with her husband Ben Jones following her treatment for cancer.
"Hopefully in years to come we'll be lucky enough to become parents, too, but [we're] taking every day as it comes," she said.
Lorraine airs on weekdays on ITV at 9am.
