Lorraine Kelly shares mum's hospital stay in health update
Lorraine Kelly has shared a new health update on her mother Anne, who was admitted to hospital earlier this summer.
The TV presenter took to Instagram today (September 8) to share the good news that her mum has now recovered and is out "galavanting".
Sharing a sweet photo of her parents together, Lorraine wrote: "Six weeks ago mum was in @nhslanarkshire Monklands Hospital – thanks to fantastic care she received there and to my brother @grahamk89 looking after her – she’s now out galavanting!"

She continued: "Here she is today with my dad. She’s heading south next week to see us. #amazing #miracle #family #happy".
While Lorraine hasn't stated why Anne was in hospital, she did previously reveal that she was also admitted last summer after being diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome, a condition that stops the kidneys from functioning properly.
"She had been experiencing symptoms such as swollen legs for a while and then suddenly took a turn for the worse," she told Hello back in February.

Lorraine also spent some time in hospital herself last year after undergoing an operation on her shoulder.
Speaking with health expert Dr Hilary Jones back in January as she returned to her ITV morning show Lorraine after the festive period, Lorraine revealed: "I had a wee operation on my shoulder, it's been annoying me for ages.
"Thank you to Professor Levy and his brilliant team because, oh my goodness, keyhole surgery is incredible. I just had to remove some calcification and a little bit of bone. I’m doing my physio and I’m all fine."
Lorraine airs on weekday mornings from 9am on ITV.
