Lorry left dangling precariously over dual carriageway after tipping over on bridge
This is the scary sight that brought rush-hour traffic to a standstill as a lorry dangled precariously over a dual carriageway after tipping over on a bridge.
The driver of the lorry escaped with minor injuries when the HGV tipped over on the eastbound carriageway of the A14 at Copdock near Ipswich, Suffolk.
The lorry was spotted hanging precariously over the edge of the bridge after the crash at around 5pm on Friday.
The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries but the incident affected thousands of people heading to a Rod Stewart concert as emergency services worked to right the lorry.
Witness Roxy Louise Sier said: "Saw it just after it happened, the driver was still trapped inside, the fire services pulled him out."
