John Zinman and Patrick Massett co-wrote the miniseries and serve as Last Light's showrunners and executive producers.

Production is scheduled to kick off next week, with the action itself planted firmly in the dystopia genre.

The narrative follows a family whose lives forever alter when oil supplies are contaminated by an infectious agent, causing society to implode in the face of global disaster.
