'Loud bang' sees police called to Cambridge hair salon break-in
Police were called to a Cambridge hair salon with reports of a 'loud bang' in the early hours of Tuesday morning (November 5). The front door of Cherry's Corner Hair Salon had been smashed.
An empty cash box had been taken from the business in Arbury Court. It follows a number of other break-ins at Arbury Court, including at the Golden Crown restaurant on Monday morning (November 4).
A force spokesperson said: "We were called at 2am this morning (Tuesday) with reports of a suspected burglary at Cherry’s Corner Hair Salon in Arbury Road, Cambridge, after the informant heard a loud bang and saw the front door had been smashed. Police attended with the salon owner who confirmed the cash till had been stolen, however no money had been left in it overnight.
