Louis Theroux wants to interview ex ‘family member’ Jennifer Aniston for new show
Louis Theroux wants to interview former “family member” Jennifer Aniston for his new show.
The BBC documentarian doesn’t think her divorce from his cousin Justin Theroux is a conflict of interest and thinks the Friends star would be great for a chat.
The pair were married for two years before separating in 2017 and finalising their divorce the year after.
“I’d like to have Jennifer on,” he told the Daily Mail’s Eden Confidential. “The idea for season two is to expand our horizons to America, which will be exciting."
Aniston and Justin Theroux began dating in 2011 after working on the film Wanderlust together.
He asked her to marry him on her 41st birthday and they eventually wed in a secret ceremony at their Bel Air home in August 2015.
When they divorced in 2018, they said: “We have decided to announce our separation. This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.
"We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship.”
Since divorcing, the pair has been photographed together on many occasions, including at Aniston’s annual Thanksgiving dinner with friends.
Justin confirmed they have “remained friends”, adding: “We don’t talk every day, but we call each other. We FaceTime. We text.”
Season one of Louis Theroux’s show, available now on BBC iPlayer, has seen him interview a string of celebrity interviewees, including Dame Judi Dench, Stormzy and Rita Ora.
