Louis Tomlinson's 'Always In My Heart' Tweet To Harry Styles Passes Two Million Retweets

Everybody try to remain calm in spite of this seriously mega news: Louis Tomlinson’s declaration of his love for Harry Styles has surpassed two million retweets on Twitter.

That’s a whole lot of people supporting/ embracing/ adoring what has become known as ‘Larry Stylinson’, isn’t it?

Less than one year ago Louis’ tweet managed to beat President Obama into becoming the second most retweeted in history, just behind Ellen DeGeneres’ infamous Oscar selfie, and since then more than one million more people have joined in the phenomena.

At the moment of writing, the tweet stands at 2,030,049 retweets but the number is seemingly increasing by the second.

The 24-year-old’s iconic tweet was posted on the 2nd of October 2011, when the Larry Stylinson ship was sailing at full speed, and Louis tweeted to his bandmate: “Always in my heart @Harry_Styles . Yours sincerely, Louis”.

The tweet became iconic for a whole load of reasons, starting with the fact that it was back in the good ol’ days when the boys used to ACTUALLY tweet eachother, but mostly because it is such an adorable declaration of love and iconically came the day before Lou was first papped with his girlfriend, Eleanor Calder.

And it seems like it isn’t just the fans who have a lot of time for the tweet, with Harry brandishing a huge flag made out of the love note during one of the band’s On The Road Again concerts last year:

Amazing.

There’s just over one million retweets to go before AIMH takes over Ellen’s selfie to officially become the most retweeted tweet in history, and although it sounds like a lot we wouldn’t be surprised if we see it happen before the year is out.

We’ll put some champers on ice for the big moment, yeah?

This mass achievement from the fandom also serves as a reminder of just how many people 'ship’ Louis and Harry, with around a gazillion fans believing that the two boys are actually in a secret, romantic relationship with one another and have been since the X Factor days.

And there is even a huge box of rather convincing evidence to prove this theory if you’re interested…
