Louise Redknapp filed for divorce after Strictly tour in March - and she blames Jamie's 'unreasonable behaviour'

Earlier this week, Jamie and Louise Redknapp divorced in a 25-second hearing after 19 years of marriage

Now it has been reported that Jamie has been left “upset” after Louise blamed him for the separation, with the singer filing for divorce nine months ago – just days after her stint on the Strictly Come Dancing tour ended in March.

The pair’s divorce papers, obtained by The Sun, read: “The petitioner (Louise Redknapp) has sufficiently proved the contents of the petition herein and is entitled to a decree of divorce the marriage having irretrievably broken down, the facts found proven being the Respondent’s (Jamie Redknapp) unreasonable behaviour.”

Further documents add: “The Respondent has behaved on such a way that the Petitioner cannot reasonable be expected to live with the Respondent” and that the marriage has “broken down irretrievably”.

Speaking to the publication, a source close to Jamie said: “He’s unhappy at being blamed. But he decided not to contest it and get it over and done with.”

Louise previously revealed that appearing on Strictly gave her a new lease of life, claiming that she had been living like a “Stepford wife” after putting her glittering showbiz career on hold to raise her and Jamie’s two sons, 12-year-old Charley and nine-year-old Beau.

The insider continued: “Jamie is not happy he is blamed for the marriage ending by preventing her pursuing her career.

“She did loads of things when they were married and he never stood in her way.

“And he fully supported her decision to do Strictly — even though pals warned him about the show’s famous curse for breaking up relationships.”

Louise’s close relationship with her Strictly partner Kevin Clifton has largely been linked to her and Jamie’s break-up, with Kevin’s own marriage to fellow dancer Karen Clifton also thought to be on the rocks.

However, Louise has denied that anything romantic happened between herself and Kevin – despite reports that Karen had previously called Jamie to warn him to keep his wife away from her husband.

Since their separation earlier this year, Louise has been living away from the family home, with Jamie said to be raising their two sons “single-handedly” in recent months, however, the two stars are expected to share custody of their children.
