Netflix's Love Is Blind has a surprise new spin-off on the way later this month.

Announced via the streamer's Twitter today (July 8), this three-part special will catch up with season 1's cast members.

Alongside a teaser trailer, the caption read: "Ever wonder how things are going for the strangers who met and married on Love is Blind? The couples and singles are back for a three-episode anniversary party and they do NOT hold back.

This news proved a bit too much for some fans in the comment section, with two excitable messages reading: "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!" and "YES that's now in my calendar".

Meanwhile, back in March 2020, Love is Blind showrunner Chris Coelen explained why there'll never be a LGBTQ+ iteration of the format.

"This is not a show that is particularly about sexuality" he said. "But with that said… I do think that, based on the setup of it, a LGBTQ+ version of that has some logistical difficulties in the current setup.
