Love Is Blind UK spoilers follow.

Monday's (August 26) Love Is Blind UK reunion saw Tom Stroud address his "ugly behaviour" on the show.

Tom quickly bonded with Maria in the pods after opening up about their families. Tom revealed how his relationships have been impacted by his dad leaving him when he was younger, and Maria emotionally opened up about losing her dad during the COVID pandemic.

While Tom also built a strong connection with Tash, he ultimately decided to propose to Maria. However, the pair decided to say "I don't" at the altar after Tom voiced his concerns over how Maria might raise their children.

When asked at the reunion by Emma Willis about the decision to part ways, Maria explained that she felt Tom was being "indirectly insulting" to her family with his comments about children.

"When it comes to raising my kids, I want to replicate what my mother has done because she's raised kind kids, confident kids, kids who treat people based on how you treat them," she said.

"Not their job title, not the car they drive, not the house they live in, how they make you feel. So I'm always going to choose to raise my kids this way."

Maria also said that seeing her mum give Tom her blessing on their wedding day made her "blood boil" after what he had said about raising "strong independent daughters".

Tom also reflected on his comments and expressed his regret at displaying "ugly behaviour".

"I've got to say, having watched the episodes back, there were a couple of moments in that which I kind of looked at and thought, 'Wow, that was like, ugly behaviour from me'," he said. "That was something which I've had some real time to reflect on."

Tom continued: "I feel like [Maria's family] were incredible in terms of allowing me to learn about myself. I wish that at times I treated their daughter a bit better."

Despite the difficult end to their relationship, Maria went on to thank Tom for showing his "emotional" side to the world.

On the importance of being emotionally open, Tom added: "I was raised by my mum. I've never really had kind of like, a masculine role model in my life.

"That comes with a lot of negatives, which I think actually came out a lot in our relationship. But, maybe some positives as well. My main kind of outtake from this whole experience is that it really shone a light on my own flaws."
