Love In The Flesh: Meet the cast of Zara McDermott's new reality series
Love Island star Zara McDermott is taking virtual reality to a whole new level with new BBC Three reality series Love In The Flesh.
Five couples who met and fell in love online are being given the opportunity to know each other IRL. None of them have met before now, thanks to location and personal issues stopping them... And where better to fix that than at a glorious beach house in the middle of Greece?
However, with the five couples living together, sometimes fantasy can be better than a week in luxury reality. Sometimes things just don't work out – but other times? There's some temptation in the way that might turn someone's eye.
Meet the five couples putting their relationship to the test, and what you need to know about them.
Love In The Flesh drops two episodes weekly from March 23 on BBC iPlayer, and airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10pm on BBC Three.

Millie, 23, and Shelby, 24
How long have they been messaging? 10 Months
London-born Millie and Leicester native Shelby both hope they have found The One with each other. Their plans to meet up before dramatically stalled after Millie got in a horse-riding accident, needing five surgeries and a metal cage on her leg to get back to health.
Millie made the best of it though, with TikTok videos on her recovery earning her 600,000 followers. However, she fears her following is the true reason podcaster Shelby wants to date her – to boost her own brand.
Shelby is a little bit hesitant to fall in love too, though has been burned by her own break-up. Will they be able to work through each other’s issues?

Chibz, 23, and Shazelle, 21
How long have they been messaging? Two Years
Personal trainer Chibz and receptionist Shazelle were brought together by Instagram. However, they’ve never met as Shazelle has stood him up not once, but twice.
But who can resist a trip to a Greek villa?
Shazelle says she’s loud when she’s comfortable around people but may appear shy to others. She’s been single since leaving secondary school five years ago, and was a bit reserved about online dating after getting catfished.
While Chibz is certifiably hench now thanks to his job, he has his own body hang-ups after developing vitiligo at the age of 14.

Christos, 19, and Niki, 22
How long have they been messaging? Three Months
While Christos lives in Worcester, Niki is a Brighton girl – though they both have Greek roots and share family values. The pair have been FaceTiming their way through a romance ever since Christos slid into Niki’s DMs, and he has already won her nan’s approval.
Niki describes herself as bubbly and up for a laugh, and is looking for love. But after an ex slept with her best mate, she’s a bit wary. Let’s hope she’s found it in Christos, the semi-pro footballer who believes he has a ‘good heart and good morals’.

Hannah, 24 and Brandon, 23
How long have they been messaging? Six Months
Legal assistant Hannah and hopeful poet Brandon are nervous from the outset before meeting after their text messages and online dating became pretty hot and heavy.
Can that translate to the real world? While Hannah is a big talker, Brandon prefers a more reserved approach to life – and even initially didn’t even want a relationship, breaking it off when she said she wanted something more serious.
But after a couple of weeks, they rekindled their romance, and they’ve spoken every day since. He will however, have one big fight on his hands – winning over Hannah’s beloved chihuahua, Cookie.

Jess, 24, and Kwame, 28
How long have they been messaging? Five Years
After five years together, this couple haven’t even so much as FaceTimed each other, let alone met. This has left Jess believing Kwame could be a catfish.
Guess if you’re going to find out, you should be somewhere near a nice beach when you do it, right?
Kwame is a single man with a love of family and has big dreams for his future, while Jess is a single mum and full-time carer who lives on her own. Will their plans for what lies ahead even match?
