'I Love This Game!' Leeds United Fan Jumps Around Living Room Following Whites Win

A Leeds United soccer fan from Telford, England, jumped and screamed with joy after the announcement of Jack Harrison’s 94th-minute goal, which secured his team the final spot in the Premier League on May 22.

Footage recorded by Emma Maddox shows her husband, Kieran Maddox, sprinting around the living room following Harrison’s match-winning goal, which granted Leeds United another season in the Premier League.

Kieran Maddox can be heard yelling: “Oh, my heart. I love this game!”

Maddox told Storyful that he has been a Leeds supporter for 30 years. He said he felt “pure joy and relief at avoiding relegation, with the injuries the team have had it just felt written in the stars we would be relegated.”

Leeds United’s victory and Burnley’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle kept Leeds from relegation to the EFL Championship, where the club spent 16 years between 2004 and 2020. Credit: Emma Maddox via Storyful
