Love Island 2018: Ellie stirs up Wes' feelings as they enjoy a dinner date while the nation is left fuming at major cliffhanger

Love Island’s newest girl Ellie Brown looked to have stirred up some drama between Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson while Alex could finally find his match - and we can’t wait (except we have to).

Ellie and fellow newcomer Zara each chose three lads to take on a dinner date during their first night in the villa.

And it was Ellie’s maincourse with Wes that could be set to rock the boat - especially after Wes admitted he would like to talk to other girls, outside his couple with Laura.

On his dinner date with Ellie, he somewhat cryptically said: “I’m happy and I would say one of the happiest but there’s no saying I couldn’t be happier.”

And air hostess Laura was seen having doubts of her own back at the villa, could the blossoming romance be about to go through its first major test?

Elsewhere, Alex George finally had a Love Island breakthrough as he kissed Ellie Brown on their first date - leaving the nation to rejoice - although we won’t be actually seeing that until tomorrow night.

Forget England’s 2-1 victory over Tunisia, Monday was all about Alex looking like his journey on the ITV2 show may be about to start (but the cliffhanger was NOT welcome).

Will Alex-Ellie-Wes become the latest Love Island love triangle? Or will Zara also want to fight for Alex’s affections after dining with him too?

Twin “snakes” Adam and Eyal are set to go head-to-head for the title of “slimiest” islander, according to viewers, as both seemed as if they could be swayed away from their partners to Zara.

Eyal declared that “his eggs aren’t all in Megan’s basket”, despite the fact that he pretty much stole her from Alex, while Adam lived up to his reputation by admitting an attraction to Zara.

Are the two new girls the biggest shakeup series four has seen? Is it all going to kick off? The ingredients are certainly there.

Love Island continues Tuesday at 9pm on ITV2.
