Update: Love Island's return date has finally been officially confirmed.

Mark your calendars for the reality show's return on June 3 – as announced on ITV2's Twitter feed on Monday morning (May 20) along with the hashtag #DayDotIsComing.

Original story (May 2): Caroline Flack has accidentally revealed when Love Island is returning – and viewers don't have long to wait.

The presenter recently teased the new series by posting an Instagram Story of her filming promos in front of a green screen.

Caroline then let slip that Love Island will be back in just three weeks, after joking that her personal trainer has put her through "utter hell" in preparation for the show.

"I have just trained with Bradley Simmons and he put me through utter hell. Making me do weights that I should not be lifting but he says we only have three weeks before Love Island starts or for Love Island prep, so we've got to work hard," she said.

"To be fair, I feel more sorry for Bradley having to put up with my moaning than me having to put up with the training."

In April, Caroline revealed that she nearly had to pull out of filming for the ITV show due to an unexpected medical diagnosis.

The TV host told her Instagram followers that she'd been diagnosed with a "wonky pelvis" that had to be nursed with a "bum massage".

"I then went to a physio who massaged my bum cheek for an hour which was rather nice and then I had a really lovely masseuse come to my house and massage my back," she said.

"Thank you to everyone who helped me out today," she added. "I thought I wasn't going to be able to go to work tomorrow but with some firm hand action and some bum loving I can. Hurrah."

Love Island airs on ITV.
