When does Love Island 2019 start? ITV finally confirm dating show's return date!

ITV has finally confirmed a start date for Love Island 2019.

A tweet posted this morning from the official ITV2 account revealed that the dating show is set to return on Monday, June 3, as many fans had previously predicted.

The teaser clip promised that “Day Dot is coming,” in reference to the phrase that islanders often use to refer to their first day in the Love Island villa, and showed host Caroline Flack relaxing on a pink pool float.

Eagle-eyed fans previously noticed a teaser trailer featuring the same slogan on This Morning on Thursday, which also included references to a handful of memorable quotes from past seasons, including Eyal Booker’s infamous dig “I’m not your hun, hun” and a collection of eggs in a basket.

Flack revealed last month that filming had begun on the new season, telling fans: “By the end of the week aI am going to have potentially seen the cast for this year.

“That is really exciting and mad that it’s come around this quick, so I’ll let you know what happens. It’s going to be a long, hot summer and all that.”

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that contestants will be offered therapy, social media training and financial advice following the deaths of former stars Mike Thalassitis and Sophie Gradon.

Show bosses said that they had undertaken a review to evaluate the aftercare offered to participants, and revealed that the new process will offer advice on social media and financial management after achieving overnight fame on the show.

“This review has led us to extend our support processes to offer therapy to all Islanders and not only those that reach out to us. And we will be delivering bespoke training to all future Islanders to include social media and financial management.

“The key focus will be for us to no longer be reliant on the islanders asking us for support but for us to proactively check in with them on a regular basis.”
