The first trailer for Love Island stars’ Chris Hughes and Kem Cetinay’s spin-off show Straight Outta Love Island has been released - and the friends look closer than ever.

Set to Bill Withers’ Just the Two of Us, the teaser shows the loveable duo spitting some bars in the recording studio, posing with new best pal Storzmy and hanging out with their girlfriends Amber Davies and Olivia Attwood.

And despite being unable to spend every day together now they’re no longer appearing on the ITV2 dating show, it seems the bromance that won the nation’s hearts is still going strong.

Cetinay tells Hughes: “I miss showering together, spooning”.

According to the series description the show will be "a musical journey of discovery".

It reads: "In a two part series exclusive to ITV2, the loveable twosome set out on a musical journey of discovery, as they explore the world of rap, grime and hip-hop.

“Having already achieved their dreams of finding love, it’s time to turn their attention to their next affection as they hit the streets to meet the great and good of the rap music scene.

"With special appearances from some of their Love Island counterparts along the way, Chris and Kem are set for an adventure of rhyme and grime as they build to their first ever live performance – but can they pull off performing to a sell-out crowd?"

Hughes and Cetinay struck up a friendship during their time on the ITV2 show and their bromance was so popular that fans even called for them to couple up and share the £50,000 prize.

Cetinay later went on to win the series with girlfriend Amber Davies, but says Chris is “like an actual brother” to him.

Speaking about the new show, he said: “Amber aside, Chris was the best thing to come out of the Love Island villa for me. He’s like an actual brother, so when the opportunity came up to pick up where we left off and take our bromance to the next level it was a no brainer,”

Meanwhile Hughes was just as complimentary of his friend, adding: “Some of my best nights in the Love island villa were rapping around the fire with my boy Kem. We're not here to take part, we're here to takeover!”

Chris and Kem: Straight Outta Love Island arrives on ITV2 in October.
