Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison welcomed their first child (and Love Island's first child) earlier this month – and the pair have now opened up about the traumatic birth.

Talking to OK! Magazine, Cally revealed: "Her heart rate dropped so I had to have an emergency Caesarean section.

"I didn't really know what was going on, but I could tell by Luis's face that something was seriously wrong."

Luis explained he cut the umbilical cord of their baby girl, who they named Vienna Morrison Beech, adding: "It was like cutting bacon or something.

"I was thinking, what if I cut this wrong? I was crying so much. Then I heard her cry and I just wanted to hold her and take her away."

He continued: "I remember that first day in the hospital, we were looking at her and thinking, what the f**k are we going to do? She's a perfect little girl though."

The pair rekindled their romance on the first series of the Love Island reboot in 2015 and announced they were having a baby in October.

Cally revealed they'd welcomed their new arrival earlier this month with a picture of Vienna's tiny feet as she posted an update on Instagram.

"The most amazing day and feeling ever .... ❤️👶🏽 when 2 became 3," she wrote.

"Thank you for all your lovely tweets! The most amazing but frightening experience ever....she's here 07/05/2017," she added on Twitter.

Meanwhile, you won't have to wait too much longer for the next batch of Love Island contestants to heat up your summer, as the ITV2 show will be back on Monday (June 5) with these new Islanders.
