If the islanders assumed they'd have some relaxing fun in the sun after Love Island's shock elimination and recoupling earlier this week, they should think again.

In a jaw-dropping twist to play out this week, the male and female islanders will all be moved into completely separate villas where they will face the ultimate temptation (via Radio Times).

A new crew of boys will move in with our current ladies, and vice versa with the current boys. ITV is describing this twist as the "ultimate test of loyalty and relationships for existing couples – and a chance for the ones who haven't found love to find it".

We sense trouble for all of our favourite couples. Although on the bright side, Marcel will be able to remind an entirely new group of ladies that he used to be in Blazin' Squad.

This development comes after an already-tense few nights on the island. On Monday (June 26), both Sam and Chloe were dumped - and it's been constant trouble for Chloe ever since as she feuded with her ex-boyfriend Jon Clark on Twitter.

Then on Tuesday night (June 27), a surprise recoupling shifted the balance of power among the islanders once again. Clearly, there's no rest for the loved-up (and we're so excited!).

The relationship drama we so enjoy continues when Caroline Flack returns for a bombshell edition of Love Island at 9pm on ITV2 tonight (June 28).
