Love Island’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu feared she had caught a contagious disease after drinking tap water at a plush five-star Scottish hotel.

The brunette, who won the hit ITV TV show in 2022 with ex-boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, reached out to her Scottish pals for help after she used tap water to brush her teeth.

Ekin-Su, 30, from Islington, in London, had been staying at Mar Hall hotel in Bishopton earlier this month.

The reality star also feared her hotel room, in the venue’s grand mansion which was built in the early 1800s, was haunted by the ghost of Henry 8th, who died in 1547.

Texting pals for help, she said: “Hi guys I’ve brushed my teeth with this tap Water here. Is it safe?”

She was reassured by Scottish pal Victoria Halliday, who told her Scottish water was among the best in the world to drink. The star later shared the hilarious exchange with her four million social media followers.

She added: “Thank you. I thought it was Henry V111 water. Just thinking it might have some contagious plague?”

Victoria later added: “Normal chat when you’re staying in a haunted castle.”

During her three day holiday with friends in Scotland, Ekin-Su enjoyed dinner at Glasgow’s AC Hotel by Marriott hotel for their first birthday as well as stopping by Harvey Nichols in Edinburgh.

Marr Hall said: “At Mar Hall, we were thrilled to welcome Ekin-Su as our guest and are delighted that she enjoyed her experience with us. Her visit comes as we continue our £15 million investment to enhance every aspect of the resort, ensuring unforgettable stays for all our guests”
