Love Island sparks Twitter meltdown as Caroline Flack introduces sexy new cast

Last night, viewers were torn between watching the launches of Love Island and Big Brother as both reality shows debuted their new casts.

Though Big Brother attracted a slightly higher audience, Love Island was undoubtedly the winner on social media, with everyone and their granny throwing their opinions out there about the scantily clad contestants who will spend the next month falling in and out of each others’ beds.

In case you missed it, the ITV2 reality show takes 12 single participants to a gorgeous villa in Majorca to see if any sparks fly. Caroline Flack has hosted the show ever since she stepped down from The X Factor, and viewers voted Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde as Love Island’s favourite couple last year, banking a cool £50,000 between them.

The would-be couples were tasked with chosing their initial dating partners in last night’s 90-minute episode, and a stampede of fans took to Twitter to share their excitement.

As well as the main show, Flack is at the helm of a weekly live show called Aftersun, which will see celebrity guests and members of the public giving their take on the new series and the cast.
