Steph, who goes by the username Steph0Sims online, is a Sims creator and YouTuber.
Comparing the similarities between reality TV and playing the Sims with free will, Steph explained how she went about creating her very own Love Island villa in-game.
Steph said in a statement: “Playing The Sims, especially when you let them go wild and do their own thing, literally feels like watching a reality TV show play out right before your eyes.
“You never know what they’re going to do next and that’s the fun of watching reality TV.”
The Sims creator spent 15 hours building the villa–plus its garden and pool–and built it without any floor plans. She said: “Literally just guessing! Love Island didn’t release any floor plans, so I had to work it out as I went along based on the size of rooms and furniture.
“Every single object had to be placed individually including all the strip lights on the floor, so I ended up with 15 hours of recorded footage”.
Season 8’s islanders are spending the summer in a brand new Majorcan villa, which is bigger and has more outside space than the original.
However, the new house has the original villa’s signature bright orange carpet, funky pink retro lights, and traditional neon hearts–all recreated in Steph’s Sims masterpiece.
The Sims Love Island villa
But now the villa has been built, all it needs is some single Sims looking for love.
On the current Love Islanders she would most like to host in her Villa, Steph said: “Watching Ekin-Su and literally whatever man she is coupled up with sneak around the villa kissing and try to not get caught by other Sims is the only thing I care about.
“Ekin-Su is the main character. Ekin-Sim coming soon”.
Steph’s creation caught the attention of The Sims Twitter account, which said: “this is proper fit don’t you agree, @LoveIsland.”
