Love Island fans are SICK of Samira Mighty getting dumped on and taken advantage off by the other Islanders, especially as she's now at risk of eviction.
While Samira's current friendship couple with Dr Alex George has worked fine for them up until now, he looks set to pair up with new girl Ellie Brown in tonight's (June 22) recoupling.
Hapless doctor Alex has received plenty of help from the other Islanders including how to chat to new girls, and even literally how to give them a kiss.
But now now fans are really starting to call out the show – and the other Islanders – with some accusing them of double-standards and selfishness.
With all due respect to Rosie, I know that Adam has just hugely punched her in the dick ditching her for Zara- But the new fella has expressed interest in Samira- you weren’t even in his top 4- can you not just back off and let the poor lass have this one?! Samira’s has NO LUCK!- Vicky Pattison (@VickyPattison) June 21, 2018
Samira is too nice to fight for a man and none of the others are rooting for her and supporting her like they did for Alex. They all call her their best friend but they don't care about her happiness. They all just see her as a shoulder to cry on #LoveIsland- 🌈🇯🇲🌱👸🏿 (@shanalala_) June 21, 2018
However, some blamed the show for failing to cast any boys with interest in Samira, while others felt the show was reflecting prejudice and unfair dating experiences of many black women.
I’m actually offended that no one is gassing Samira up the way they gassed up Alex. Qwhite interesting. #loveisland- Fels. (@Feliciaaa_O) June 21, 2018
Am I the only one who noticed the new boy was blanking Samira when he was chatting with Rosie and Samira? He only mentioned her in his top four or five , out of sympathy. Get real guys. This programme isn’t for black girls. Stop taking part. #LoveIsland- Brijitte Boham (@BohamBrijitte) June 21, 2018
the thinly veiled colourism and total disregard that Samira is experiencing both within and outside of the villa and the outright ageism towards Laura on social media is SOOO gross but also depressingly unsurprising 🤷🏼♀️😡 #LoveIsand- Kirstie (@KirstieBrittain) June 19, 2018
Even hopes of Samira pairing up with new boy Sam Bird were dashed when he listed her in his top four girls, then almost forgot her later on and pretty much ignored her while chatting to Rosie.
I know that Samira was in Sams top 4 but when Ellie and Zara asked him his top 4 for the second time he chose Samira fifth AND FORGOT HER. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT???? SHE DESERVES BETTER NO MATTER HOW DRAMATIC SHE IS #loveisland- Rebecca Skeffington (@scarlehhh4yerMa) June 21, 2018
I actually feel bad for Samira, literally no one is showing her support and she’s in the same position as Alex before with Ellie, it really breaks my heart how supportive she was and no one is repaying her back, I didn’t like her at first but now I feel so bad for her.#Loveisland- Jeff Peppy (@JeffPeppy) June 21, 2018
And since Sam called out love rat Adam Collard for his treatment of Rosie, it does seem likely he's trying to get into her good books.
Rosie Williams came under fire too. Although she'd been mistreated by snakey Adam, fans felt she should let Samira have this one new boy as she's had no luck so far, whatsoever.
Rosie needs to BACK OFF and stop being beggy and samira a chance she's not had one guy yet. It's abit cringe how desperate she's looking 😖#LoveIsland- Holly Cockerill (@hollycockerill) June 21, 2018
the girls on love island are fuckin snakey all gassing rosie up to go get with Sam when Samiras been there since day one taking a backseat and supporting the other girls in their relationships n no one is cheering on Samira sNAKES #LoveIsland- sam (@Samasauruss) June 21, 2018
rosie babe you’ve been single for 5 minutes, samira’s been single for 2 weeks, walk away ya sly cow xx #LoveIsland- madeleine ♎️ (@madeleineruth18) June 21, 2018
Elsewhere Love Island paid tribute to series 2 contestant Sophie Gradon following her tragic death earlier this week aged just 32, while the charity Women's Aid has shared a statement about the "clear warning signs" in Adam Collard's "unacceptable" behaviour towards Rosie – and praised her for calling him out on it.
Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
