Love Island star Gabby Allen has addressed the “betrayal” from Marcel Somerville ahead of their upcoming reunion on the All Stars series.

The pair coupled up during the third season of the ITV reality show back in 2017, eventually reaching the final ane finishing in fourth place.

The pair split up just under a year later after Marcel admitted to cheating on Gabby, but the former couple are set to reunite after they were both confirmed to be cast members on the second season of Love Island: All Stars.

In an interview with The Tab, Gabby shared that she would like to have a conversation with Marcel to address the situation, adding that she would be open to forming a friendship despite not being able to “look at him in the same way.”

“We haven’t seen each other in years,” began Gabby. “I would like to have a conversation with him, and put it behind us. I don’t think I would ever get back with him, it was a betrayal of trust. There are no hard feelings. We had a great experience together. I think we could be mates.”

Gabby wasn’t the only one to talk about their upcoming reunion, with host Maya Jama expressing her excitement at their meeting, saying: “I'm such a fan of both of them and that series was one of my favourites as well.

“I think Marcel is such a sweetheart, Gabby is just the loveliest human as well. So, I'm kind of rooting for them to get back together, but who knows, they could end up in a cute friendship,” she continued, adding that there could be “fireworks.”
