Love Island’s Michael confesses he STILL has feelings for Amber in shock turnaround

Love Island contestant Michael Griffiths has finally admitted that he still has feelings for fellow islander Amber Gill.

The couple paired up in the earlier stages of the ITV2 dating competition but parted ways when Michael decided to pursue a relationship with new girl Joanna Chimonides while Amber visited Casa Amor.

Amber has been open about the fact that she still likes her ex, but Michael had vehemently maintained that they could never rekindle their romance - until now.

Following Joanna’s departure from the villa earlier this week, Michael will confess his lingering feelings in scenes that will be aired tonight, according to The Sun.

Chatting with Curtis Pritchard, Ovie Soko and Jordan Hames, the paper reports that Michael admits: “Now Joanna’s gone I’ve had time to think about things and I do actually like Amber.”

Last night’s instalment saw a tearful Amber tell Michael that she has finally “got over the whole situation” before imploring him to stop taking his frustration out on her.

The firefighter prompted 147 complaints to Ofcom yesterday after viewers were concerned that he had treated Amber “like a dog” by brusquely commanding her to “sit down,” The Sun reports.

An Ofcom spokesperson told the publication: “We will assess these complaints against our broadcasting rules, but are yet to decide whether or not to investigate.”

Tonight’s episode will also see Amber head off on a date with new islander Greg O’Shea.

Love Island continues at 9pm tonight on ITV.
