Love Island narrator Iain Stirling has described Adam Collard as a 'TV villain'.

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the voice of the show gave the lowdown on all the islanders before he dropped his damming verdict of Adam.

Asked who his favourite contestant is, Iain replied: "This year, more than any other year, feels like an ensemble cast. A couple of years, you've had stand-out stars, this year everyone has had a moment to shine.

"Dani and Jack are the cutest couple at the minute. Adam is great value as a TV villain. Eyal is almost a caricature of a gap year student. They're all great!"

Adam has made it rather easy for people to brand him the villain of the show in recent episodes. Having flirted with Zara in spite of his coupling with Rosie, fans accused him of being manipulative.

Iain was a bit hesitant to give us an early prediction on a possible Love Island winner, saying: "At the minute, it would be absolute madness to say. We've still got six-to-eight weeks... We've still got a World Cup and more to go!

"A lot of the couples are showing cracks at the minute now, which is very interesting. A lot of the couples have got to go through that to come out stronger at the other end. This week is going to be very telling."

Tonight's episode (June 20) of Love Island saw Rosie attempt to make Adam jealous with a lingerie photoshoot – and some fans were split on whether it was a good idea...

Love Island continues tomorrow night (June 21) at 9pm on ITV2.
