When is the Love Island reunion show 2022?

The eighth season of Love Island came to an end on Sunday as (spoiler alert), Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu were crowned winners.

As usual, it was a series full of drama, tears and sweet moments – and the grand finale drew in the programme’s highest number of viewers since 2019. So, the future’s looking bright for Love Island.

But now the question everyone is asking is when is the reunion show? Here’s what we know so far.

When is Love Island: The Reunion 2022?

Every year, the islanders gather one last time for one last round of drama.

The Love Island 2022 reunion episode will air on Sunday, August 7, on ITV2. For this last episode, fans will be treated to a special extended live edition, starting at 9pm and lasting until 10.30pm.

You can watch live or on catch up online via the ITV Hub, which you can access on your phone, tablet, computer, Xbox, and PlayStation consoles.

What happens on Love Island: The Reunion?

The reunion show is a chance for all the Islanders to catch up on life after the villa, and what it’s been like being with their partner on the outside.

We also get the lowdown on events that might have happened in the villa that were not aired, while Islanders will address any drama that has unfolded since.

Laura Whitmore will interview the finalists on post-villa life, while all of the contestants will discuss their Love Island experience.

When is the next season of Love Island?

Fans will be pleased to know that Love Island bosses have confirmed that the show will return next year for a winter special. Details of the date have not been confirmed, but we do know that it will be filmed in South Africa for 2023.

“After eight brilliant series, we are excited to be serving up two helpings of love in 2023 by kicking off in January at a stunning new villa in South Africa,” says Mike Spencer, executive producer at Love Island producers Lifted Entertainment.

“We can look forward to more romances, bromances and everything in between as we embark on another epic year of love.”
