'Love Island' star Tom Walker marries secret girlfriend after 10 year on-off relationship

Love Island contestant Tom Walker has married his secret girlfriend - who he has dated for 10 years.

The 31-year-old model - who appeared on the ITV2 dating show in 2019 - announced on social media that he has married girlfriend Chloe Raynor, following a decade-long on-off romance.

Walker revealed on Instagram: “So... We got married. After a couple of crazy years we decided to start the year off with a bit of positivity. Last weekend, 2.1.21 we tied the knot COVID style.

“We’ve been a long distance couple, on and off for almost 10 years now! Life experiences, all the challenges of the past few years and then plenty of thinking time, has made me realise that there is only one person I’d like to spend the rest of my life with.

“So we made the decision not to waste anymore time and commit to spending rest of our lives together. Thanks Little One for saying yes and becoming my Wife, I can’t believe how lucky I am to have found you! When you know, you know and I know.”

The couple were married under lockdown restrictions in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on 2 January.

Walker dated Maura Higgins on the fifth series of Love Island - only to be dumped by her on day 25 of the show after she overheard him bantering about her with the other male contestants.

When the model from Leeds arrived on the island, two weeks into the dating series, fans of the show speculated he was still in a long-distance relationship with US-based Raynor, after seeing pictures of him with her on his Instagram account, posted just six months before he joined the show.

Higgins finished fourth on the series, coupled up with Curtis Pritchard. They continued to date until March 2020 and Higgins is now in a relationship with fellow Love Island contestant Chris Taylor.
