Love Island voiceover man Iain Stirling claims Dr Alex is a 'womanizer' as he woos Ellie and Zara

Love Island voiceover artist Iain Stirling branded Dr Alex George a “womanizer” as he continues his desperate search for Mrs Right in the villa.

The Scottish voice of the hit ITV2 show joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield for a chat on Wednesday’s This Morning, via video link from a sunny Majorcan beach.

Stirling gushed over the series so far, saying he was “thrilled” to see the contestants going on individual journeys – a trope usually reserved for Strictly Come Dancing – adding that he couldn’t have predicted Adam’s behaviour or Alex’s eye for the ladies.

He said: “I don't think anyone could tell Adam was going to be Adam, I mean that man is a law unto himself.

“But I think you get a rough idea but that's the great thing about Love Island and why people love the show.

“People genuinely go on journeys, I don't think people had really warmed to Rosie but after last night people get her now and Alex has really transformed and come out of his skin and become a bit of a womanizer - it's nice to see.”

Stirling, from Edinburgh, has narrated the show since it’s reboot and spoke of him and the team being “thrilled and baffled in equal measure” over the success of the ITV2 programme.

He added: “We must be doing something right, it's going well for us, we're pumped.”

The comedian also explained that he watches the final cut of the show early each afternoon and writes his jokes, along with pal Mark, to be added as voiceover – sometimes pulling out things on screen and asking for more time with them.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV. Love Island continues Wednesday at 9pm on ITV2.
