Love Island's Faye Winter freezing her eggs following Teddy Soares split

Love Island's Faye Winter has shared plans to freeze her eggs, following her split from boyfriend Teddy Soares.

Revealing her plans to begin the process in an interview with OK! Magazine, the reality star said she hopes to become a mum in the future, despite focusing on work commitments for the meantime.

"Personally, I want to start my journey of freezing my eggs and giving myself some time to fall in love with this new life," she said.

"It’s such a change, and now I’m at a point where I’m starting to find myself on my own in this world, I want to fall in love with that."

Faye and Teddy met during the 2021 summer series of the ITV2 dating show, finishing in third place behind Liam Reardon and Millie Court and Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran.

The couple appeared to go from strength to strength following their time in the villa, moving into a home together and adopting a dog. However, they announced their separation in February, following 18 months of dating.

Faye recently opened up on the separation, telling The Sun that it had been difficult to go through a break-up in the public eye.

"Obviously it's hard, it's always going to be hard. I've never been in a situation where I've been in a relationship in the public eye and I've had to go through a break-up in the public eye," she said.

"So obviously it's been hard and everything that's been hard in my life post-Love Island, I've always had Teddy there to help me deal with it and visa versa, I've always helped him.

"So I think that's the hardest part because I can't just ring him and be like 'I'm struggling'."

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
