Love Island's Jake Cornish reveals real reason behind All Stars exit

Love Island star Jake Cornish has looked back on his sudden exit from All Stars last year, revealing the real reason for leaving the villa.

Jake took part in season seven of ITV2's dating show, which aired in 2021. In January 2024, he returned to the All Stars edition, where the public chose to couple him up with his ex Liberty Poole.

However, Jake decided to withdraw from the competition after just three days.

Explaining his decision, Jake put it down to having grown out of reality TV.

"The second time around when I done All Stars, when I left, I kind of forgot about how the shows are filmed, it was a bit different from the first time," he told the Mirror.

"The first time you're a rookie, you don't know what to expect but the second time, I understood a lot more and I think I just grew out of it. Putting on a show for the cameras, it's either you or it isn't."

Last January, Jake announced he was leaving Love Island: All Stars as he hadn't found a connection with any of the participants.

"Listen everyone," he said to his his fellow Islanders around the firepit. "I was here to find love, there's no one really that I've got that connection with... I'm going tonight."

Jake also pulled Liberty aside to say goodbye, telling her: "I can't just fake things for the sake of being in here."

He continued: "So I thought.. the best thing for me to do is take myself out of the situation. I've had a wicked time."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
