Molly-Mae Hague has issued a statement to confirm she has split up from Tommy Fury. The couple met on the fifth season of reality dating show Love Island in 2018.

The two were engaged and welcomed their first child, Bambi, into the world in January last year. However, Molly-Mae, 25, has taken to Instagram to confirm they have now split up. She said: "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.

"After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.

"You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all. Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right. Molly-Mae x

The couple had been subjected to split rumours last year after Molly-Mae was spotted without her engagement ring. However, she hit back at the claims in a video shared on her YouTube account in December. She said: "Everyone’s asking about weddings, they’re also asking about our relationship and how things are and I get it, just general questions that people want to know.

"When I put that Q and A box up I should have known what everyone’s going to be asking questions about." Molly and Tommy have continued to share updates together on their social media channels.

Molly shared a post last month to mark a year since Tommy's proposal. She said: "One year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip on which the love of my life would ask me to marry him."

People have taken to the Instagram comments to share their surprise after Molly announced the wedding is now off. Leanne said: "Nooooooo I just saw on your story you & Tommy have ended your relationship. So heartbroken for you I truly thought you were end game"

Renelle commented: "No I don’t believe it" Ivona posted: "Omg and now you’ve split" Lyds posted: "Here after what’s happened devastating."

Tommy, 25, last shared a photo on Instagram alongside Molly-Mae and Bambi last month. They posed in front of a pier alongside the caption: "My everything in a photo." Molly-Mae took to the comments after the photo was posted and said: "Love this pic so much."

Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury coupled up on the fifth season of Love Island and were regarded as one of the most successful love stories from the ITV2 dating show. The couple finished in second place and their romance continued to thrive after the villa.

They bought their first home together in 2022 after a three year search. Molly-Mae said at the time: "I can't believe this day has come. So we've finally found our dream home after a 3 year search, I am so beyond excited to bring you all on this journey with us!

"I'm sorry Tommy wasn't a part of this at all but he is away currently... he's also so excited but is letting me handle everything for now whilst he's working! Without you all this would never have been possible and I will never be able to express my gratitude for your love and support on this journey Let the moving and house vlogs commence!!! @mollymaison_ Lots of Love Molly"

The Love Island stars soon announced the joyous news Molly-Mae was expecting a child. The reality star announced the happy news in September 2022. She said: “I can’t wait for the adventures that we haven’t even dreamed of yet”. Tommy has yet to address the split on his social media pages.
