Love Island: All Stars couple Molly Smith and Tom Clare have shared a big relationship update in a new interview.

The duo both returned to the villa in January alongside various other Islanders from over the years, and won the All Stars series. Six months on – and one summer season of Love Island later – Tom has stated that he thinks their partnership can go the distance.

Speaking to The Mirror, Tom spoke about his commitment to Molly, but added that he didn't feel the pressure to get engaged any time soon.

"You don't rush them things," he explained. "I want to spend the rest of my life with Molly but there's no pressure in our time or anyone else's time... She's stuck with me now."

Molly explained that the couple likes to keep their relationship mostly private, stating it isn't done "purposefully" and it's just how she is – but added that "too many cooks spoil the broth."

"We kind of make the effort, with football, I'll go and support him," she explained. "We share a lot, experiences and things like that, maybe that's why we get on so well."

The couple recently took a trip to the Maldives, with both of them agreeing that the lack of Wi-Fi or signal allowed them to disconnect.

Tom said: "It was nice, it was good to switch off. It was paradise, it was what we needed away from everybody, and it was so much fun.

"Especially there, no one really knows who you are. Everyone's just there to chill out, it was the perfect place to switch off and just be with us."

Love Island airs on ITV2 and streams on ITVX.
