Love Island's Olivia shares farewell gift that Lana snuck into her suitcase

Love Island may not always (or even, often) lead to romantic relationships that last, but it can create some friendships that go the distance.

Case in point: Olivia Hawkins and Lana Jenkins. The duo got along like a house on fire from the moment they entered the show on Day 1 — and after she was dumped on Day 45, Olivia has been defending her pal Lana against those criticising her relationship with Ron Hall.

Speaking to Digital Spy alongside Maxwell Samuda as part of the 'Spy in the Villa' series, filmed before the final episode where Lana and Ron came second to Kai and Sanam, Olivia revealed that Lana snuck a farewell gift into her suitcase when she was dumped.

"We are just obsessed with each other. From the moment I walked into the villa, I knew she was going to be a friend for life," Olivia said of Lana.

"She left me one of her eye shadow palettes in my case when I left, which said: 'Love you, Lana'. So I miss her a lot."

Although the latest series of Love Island has finished, fans won't have to wait until the summer to return to the villa. In fact, they won't have to wait until the weekend, as a Red Nose Day special airing this Friday (March 17) will see one more bombshell arrive: People Just Do Nothing's Chabuddy G.

"My type on paper is a kind, sweet, caring and beautiful girl. My type off paper is aunties aged 45+, especially the Karen types. I love a bossy woman," he said.

You'll have to tune into BBC One on Friday to see if finds his perfect match.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
