Former Love Island star Wes Nelson has impressed fans with his dramatic body transformation as he gears up for his music tour. Former Clayton High School student Wes, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, showed off a much leaner physique compared to his past appearance.

The reality TV personality and budding musician took to social media to share a before-and-after glimpse of his fitness journey. The 'before' photo depicted him with a less-toned figure, while the 'after' image revealed a chiselled six-pack against the backdrop of a recording studio.

In both pictures, Wes, 26, is shirtless, but his mood seems to have undergone a transformation as well; from a sombre look in the initial photo to a beaming presence in the latest snap, complete with a backwards baseball cap.

Alongside the photos, Wes, who attended Newcastle College, shared an inspiring message: "Transformation for my Tour (and for myself). I've been quietly working on myself for a while now, I neglected my health for years, it's affected me physically and mentally! For the first time in years I can honestly say, I feel f****** great! Tour starts in 9 days. Lets go! ".

Fans were quick to respond with encouragement and admiration. One follower commented: "Drop the workout plan. Beast."

Another added, "You look amazing bro. I wish I had your push and drive. Keep smiling man." While a third chimed in with praise for his hard work: "You put in that work."

Wes, who shot to fame in 2018 after his stint on the ITV show, captivated audiences and emerged as a finalist alongside reality TV starlet Megan Barton Hanson, , reports the Mirror. Though their romance didn't last, he's gone from strength to strength with stints on Dancing On Ice and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

It's music, however, that appears to be Wes's true calling, especially after his 2020 single 'See Nobody' soared to number three in the UK charts. His musical flair was further highlighted when he returned to the villa delivering a performance of his track 'Abracadabra' with none other than Craig David.

And while speculation buzzed about a potential return to the show as a contestant, Wes says he declined the offer "politely."

In conversation with The Sun, he expressed, "Of course there was a question, but at the same time I was there to perform with a legend. I wouldn't go back on as a contestant. I'm happy to be known as an artist and not just an Islander, you know what I mean? I don't feel like it fulfils me in the sense that I didn't feel like I was being productive with my passion, if that makes sense."

During an interaction with the Mirror, Wes revealed, "He is an absolute legend, I can't lie - it was a bit of a dream come true. He actually bought me a birthday present, which I have been telling everyone about - it's a subtle flex. But seriously, he is so talented and i look forward to making beautiful music with him in the future."
