Glasgow TV presenter Carol Smillie has married her Changing Rooms co-star and interior designer at a plush city hotel.

60 Minute Makeover host John Amabile tied the knot with his partner of almost 20 years, Steven Gormley, in a ceremony at Hotel du Vin on Saturday.

The wedding was conducted by presenter Carol, who is also a registered Humanist celebrant.

Sharing snippets of the special day on social media, John wrote: "Woo hoo!!! We got married on Saturday.

"After 19 years together, we thought the time was right to get hitched. We had a great day, and our lovely friend Carol Smillie married us.

"A day to remember!"

Carol, 60, added that it was an "honour" to be part of John's big day, commenting: "After almost 20 years together what an honour to be a small part of making it official."
