Lovesick Dog Walks 10KM For Reunion With Beloved Dachshund

It might seem like something straight from Lady and the Tramp - but these two Dachshund’s are the very proof of doggy love.

Toto, who lives in the town of Scafeti, in Salerno, Italy, met fellow Dachshund Lilly last summer - when the pair’s owners struck up a friendship on holiday.

The pair are said to have even become inseparable, and spent time together at Lilly’s home in Naples when the owners decided to meet once more after the holiday.

But then, as is the case with all great romances, came the brief separation - with Toto being forced to return home.

He is said to have developed a look of sadness in his eyes, and then decided to run the 10km journey to Lilly’s home.

His owner are said to have given up hope of finding him - until they received a call from they friends in Naples and were told that their beloved dachshund had arrived at their home in a supposed bid to find Lilly.

He’s now back with his owners, but only after they reportedly agreed that he wouldn’t be separated from Lilly again.
