A festival-goer in Wales was tracked down by a man with some exciting news - she had won a £50,000 prize.

Stephanie Seal was kicking off her bank holiday weekend at the In It Together Festival in Margam, Port Talbot on Friday night. Little did she know, she had been declared the winner of a swift £50,000 prize after participating in an online game hosted by Vortex Competitions Ltd.

The firm, which promotes itself as the largest competition site in south Wales, was established in 2022 by Liam Skyrme and Mark McDonald. It provides the public with the chance to buy tickets for a shot at winning various prizes - from electrical goods to a new car or a cash windfall.

To enter, players must answer a straightforward question correctly before being entered into a random draw, broadcast live on the company's Facebook page. The Welsh company also contributes funds to local charities, reports Wales Online.

On Friday night, a record-breaking £50,000 prize was up for grabs from the company. Stephanie was announced as the lucky winner online, prompting Liam to embark on an extraordinary mission to deliver the fantastic news in person.

However, there was a catch - she was at a ticketed music festival, eagerly awaiting performances by Craig David, Rag 'N' Bone Man, and others over the bank holiday weekend.

Undeterred, Liam drove to Margam and miraculously gained entry to the festival without a ticket to locate Stephanie and inform her of her windfall. After a two-hour search at the event, he finally found her and captured the moment live on Facebook.

"Right, I think I've found her," Liam declared while navigating the festival site. Upon spotting her, he exclaimed: "Steph, come here a minute. You are hard to find! You've won 50 grand!"

Initially skeptical, Stephanie was soon overwhelmed with emotion when Liam earnestly assured her: "I swear on my kids' lives, I'm here, I've been looking for you for two hours - you've won 50 grand!"

Her reaction was a heartwarming blend of laughter and tears as Liam recounted his persistent search, including his venture into the festival and even approaching the main stage in his quest to find her.

The £50,000 prize was swiftly transferred to Stephanie, who is now set for a weekend beyond her wildest dreams. In a Facebook post the following morning, the ecstatic winner shared: "I have managed to link to another phone as I wanna say thank you so much to Vortex Competitions Ltd and the effort Liam put in to finding me!

"I'm literally on cloud nine, I literally couldn't sleep hardly with the excitement (thinking) of our family's future. I don't think it has sunk in yet properly. Thank you everyone for your lovely kind comments. It means the world and more xxxxxxx".
