Lucy’s Mill park walker 'punched in the face and spat' at after confronting vandal

A woman was punched in the face and spat at after she confronted a vandal. Police say that the attack took place as the victim was walking at the recreational ground near Lucy’s Mill in Stratford.

She allegedly saw another woman damaging a floral tribute and asked her to stop. This is when she was reportedly spat at and punched in the face.

Police are now trying to hunt down the attacker. She has been described as being a white female, aged between 25 to 30 years old, around 5ft tall with long dark hair and lesions or bruising to the face.

She was reportedly wearing a black sweatshirt-style jacket and carrying a Waitrose bag. The incident took place between 8am and 8.20am on Thursday, May 30. " If you were in the park around this time, or you have information that can help our investigation including video footage, contact us citing crime reference 23/22741/24," a Warwickshire Police spokesperson said.
