Luke Bryan is a busy man.

While the country singer would love to be "huntin', fishin', and lovin' every day," he's usually hard at work on one of his many projects. If Luke isn't starring on American Idol, working on a new line of beer, or recording his next studio album, there's a good chance that he's on tour.

Still, Luke's family will always be the most important to him. The husband and father tells CountryLiving.com that having his loved ones around can make anywhere feel like "home."

"The only way to feel like you're home is to have your family around, you know, the people that you love," Luke explains. "The toughest part of going on the road is being away from [my family]. So when I can get my wife and my boys and nieces and nephew with me. . . that's home."

Luke and his wife Caroline are the proud parents of five kids. They shared two sons together, Thomas (or "Bo") and Tatum, before a devastating tragedy struck their family in 2014. After Luke's sister and brother-in-law passed away, he and Caroline took in their nephew and nieces—Til, Jordan, and Kris.

It may seem impossible for the whole clan to fit on Luke's tour bus, but the country star says that they "make it work." (Having a few iPads, lots of good snacks, and a fridge stocked with Two Lane beer probably helps). Still, even if it does get crowded, Luke loves when his kids join him on the road.

"That's the best feeling in the world because I get to do what I love and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything," he says.

Forget about music awards—can we nominate Luke for dad of the year award?!
