Luke Littler struck an unbelieve nine-dart finish in his Premier League darts final against Luke Humphries at the 02 Arena in London.

Both players started slowly with the game level after six and eight legs but Littler was the one to emerge and edge in front. In the eleventh leg, Littler followed up two maximums by hitting 141 to seal a nine-dart finish on the biggest stage.

The 17-year-old then won three of the following four legs on his way to being crowned Premier League champion with an 11-7 victory. Humphries bested Littler in the world championship final earlier this year but absolutely nothing could stop the teenager five months on.

He added: "It's so good to win, in front of my family, my girlfriend and my manager. I just said to Luke 'I don't know what to do'". When told his nine-dart finish ranks him alongside Phil Taylor, he replied: "That's another record. I hit one on the world series and I've hit one here.

"I'm just enjoying it. I've been practicing really hard today. You could probably see on the oche, I was dead focused but all the hard work goes into this."
