A luxury home and body brand will be opening a store at the Waterside shopping centre in Lincoln. Known for its range of body and homecare products, Rituals is set to open its doors in the city centre next year.

The retailer sells a range of luxury body, beauty and home items for babies, men and women. Rituals has signed a long-term lease in the centre and work has already started, with further works to take place in March 2025 to fit out the new store ahead of it opening in April.

During part of the works the adjoining store, which is occupied by Accessorize, will be closing temporarily.

Waterside’s joint venture owners, Wykeland Group and Lincolnshire Co-op, are investing in the centre with new frontage on the high street and improvements along the River Witham. David Donkin, property director of Wykeland, said: “We’re delighted to announce Rituals as the latest addition to Waterside.

"Rituals is a highly aspirational brand with destination stores drawing shoppers to the towns, cities and centres where they are located. That means having a Rituals store at Waterside will be great for Lincoln, for shoppers in and around the city, or visiting from further afield, and for all the other businesses within the centre.

"Securing such a high-calibre brand is a powerful demonstration of the Waterside centre’s appeal as a retail and leisure destination, especially as we make substantial investments to enhance the visitor experience.”

Lincolnshire Co-op’s head of property, Kevin Kendall, added: “Rituals will be a welcome addition to Waterside centre and give shoppers and visitors to the city another reason to visit, alongside our packed events programme and the wide variety of retailers we already offer. The new frontage will also benefit the local street scene and much improve the views from both High Street and Waterside South.”
